Okay, I'm sick to death of this depression. It's a crappy way to live a life, so today I'm going to do something about it and fight back. If something has depressed me lately, I'm going to roll up my sleeves and nail it to the wall.

Hold on to your seat belt, folks, here goes:

There. I sure told them! I feel so much better...

David will be spending the next two days with my parents, a little break we all need. He will have a total blast, and I will be able to use the next two days to whip the house into shape so all will be done before Thanksgiving. That way all I'll have to do is eat and stay fat. Next week I'll be re-visiting my weight loss scheme, but this week I'm going to consume enough turkey and pumpkin pie to feed the entire country of China. We will be putting up the tree and decorating for Christmas, and have our yearly "let's-go-out-go-eat-and-stuff-our-faces-some-more" dinner that evening. And, speaking of food, we are having a Pie Social at church in place of Wed. night's service. Let me tell you, can't no body cook or bake better than Christian women with a church full of people to feed. If you want good eating, come to my church...you won't be disappointed.

For the Pie Social tonight, I am taking a cherry pie. My mouth has just been watering for cherry pie, and I found a frozen one that I'm dying to make. Yes, I should have made it on my own, but being the one exception to the uber-bakers as mentioned above, I am borrowing from Mrs. Smith's pantry and baking one of her pre-made, albiet frozen confections. That said, I've had Mrs. Smith's pies before and they are *incredible*. Whether or not anyone else indulges, I'll be scarfing tonight on cherry pie, hold the mode gimmie the whipped cream. Yu-hum!
